Jocelyn & Matt: Singapore Wedding

One of the many perks of being in this profession is the opportunity to get exposed and be immersed in cultures we have little knowledge of – cultures so awe-inspiring that it makes you feel like a participant even though you’re only an observer. That’s one of the things we took home after we shot JOCELYN + MATT’s wedding in Singapore.

Traditional wedding ceremonies were observed, among many things. Preparations started early, so you can just imagine the many things that happened during the day. Gatecrashing in the morning, tea ceremony around noon, solemnization at Tanjong Beach in the afternoon, and afterwards, grand reception attended by more than 300 guests. To say the least, this experience was culturally-enriching and visually-inspiring. Plus, Singapore was spectacular and our couple – Jocelyn + Matt – were absolutely lovely!

MARLON + AILEEN: Same Day Edit

W

Both based in the US, MARLON + AILEEN came home to tie the knot in front of God, family, and friends in a beautiful wedding celebration held at the Malate Church, while reception followed at the Century Park Hotel in Manila. Though we constantly stayed in touch online, we personally met the bride the day before the wedding. Since the start, you could feel how excited she was for her wedding. But what amazed me is the fact that for someone who’s based in the US for a long time, Aileen is still very fluent in Bisaya, and during the wedding, she was also very fluent in Chinese. Their close-knit families, on the other hand, had been so accommodating to us and very supportive of the couple. Here’s their wedding video by The Digital Eye.

JONIS + DONNA: Same Day Edit

As one quote would have it, love is not something you find; love is something that finds you. JONIS + DONNA know this all too well. Our Cebu-based couple have a lot of in common. For one, they are both doctors. Coincidence? Not really. There are no accidents in love. When it finds you, it will lead down the path to meet the one whom you are destined to be with for the rest of your life.

The couple tied the knot in a beautiful yet solemn wedding celebration that was well-attended by family and friends. The Pedro Calungsod Chapel wedding ceremony was very lovely, while the reception was a blast. In fact, some guests commented that it was the perfect, most beautiful wedding they have ever attended. And we could see why. The food was overflowing, the guests had a great time, and the décor by Accent Cagayan was beyond grand.

In behalf of the suppliers, we express our gratitude to the families of the couple for their hospitality and kindness; especially to Doc Mercy, the mother of the bride, who had been pretty hands-on since the planning. Likewise, to Hanna, the maid of honor and the groom’s sister whose support was all-out. Here’s Jonis + Donna’s beautiful wedding video lovingly made by The Digital Eye.

Same Day Edit Jr and Cristy

“Love knows no reason, no boundaries, no distance. It has a sole intention of bringing people together to a time called forever.” Love never ends, and it’s for this very reason that JR need not promise to love Cristy all the days of their lives because for him, only one thing is certain – his love for his bride is absolute. After all, true love transcends everything, including time.
JR and Cristy tied the knot and professed their love for each other in front of God, family and friends on March 28, in a beautiful wedding celebration that’s as impressive as the sincerity of their love for each other. JR looked debonair in his all-black ensemble, while Cristy was lovely beyond words in her stunning wedding gown. The ceremony was solemn and emotional; the reception, on the other hand, was one of the most enjoyable wedding parties we’ve ever been to. It was so fun that everyone was still on their feet dancing until the end of the celebration.
They are, without a doubt, one of the coolest bride and groom tandem we’ve ever worked with. And although it was a grand celebration, our job as suppliers was relatively easy and fuss-free, owing to how cooperative and gracious our lovely couple was. Thank you to the bride and groom, and kudos to the suppliers as well.
JR and Cristy, it was a joy working with you. We are all behind your marriage and are in full support for whatever life has in store for you. The future is indeed pregnant with so much promise that we couldn’t help but be very excited for the both of you. Best wishes and Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Beja!

SAME DAY EDIT: JUN + CHRYSTEL

They say that every #love story has its own challenges and triumphs. Many have tried, some have failed, while others succeed. Jun and Chrystel are no strangers to that, for theirs is a love story that has endured time, distance, and circumstance. In the words of the Bride to the Groom, “I love you when we are together, and when we are apart.”

Jun and Chrystel’s love story started in college; around the time when most people start to find ‘The One’ – although at that point, it was unbeknownst to them that they’re already looking at the one whom they will share their ‘life, love, laughter, and happily ever after’ with.

Like most couples, their story was not without tribulations. But even if the odds seemed to not always be in their favor, they have managed to not only stay afloat, but they have nurtured the love they have for each other despite the adversity. After all – for Jun and Chrystel – distance, time and circumstance did not matter; for in the end, love saw them through.

The Bride and Groom were fortunate to have amazing people on board to orchestrate such a magical #wedding, but it was the people dear to them who made the event even more special. Family and friends came in droves to show their love and support for Jun and Chrystel as they turn a new leaf.

The Bride was radiant in her stunning wedding dress, while the Groom looked dapper in his tailored suit. Everything was wonderful on that day, and the maid-of-honor summed it all up perfectly, “A wedding day will be remembered for all the joy it brings; a day of love and happiness, a day of new beginnings, learning what love truly means. Your wedding is just a start to many hopes and dreams.”

To Jun and Chrystel, we are honored to be part of your happily-ever-after, and we only have the best wishes for you on the new journey that you will be embarking as husband and wife. Congrats to the new Mr. and Mrs.!
