Same Day Edit: DENNIS + CHERRIE

It’s a pretty simple equation, really. Love is about two souls finding each other in a vast sea of multiplicity and intricacy. It’s the common ground that binds people together. Love makes grandeur and extravagance irrelevant. Indeed, no amount of material wealth can ever amount to the simplicity and sincerity of true love.

For Dennis and Cherrie, this is how real and simple love gets. Being part of an entrepreneurial family with political inclination, Dennis could’ve used any car he wanted for his wedding. He could’ve easily afforded to have a luxury car transport for his bride for their wedding. But no. Dennis – humble as he is – opted to take a cab. It could’ve been very easy to orchestrate a grand wedding as money wasn’t an issue. But marriage isn’t really about opulence – it’s about celebrating love.

That’s not to say, though, that the wedding wasn’t something to write home about. The event was immensely successful, owning hugely to the fact that the groom was really hands-on and attended to all facets of the wedding. As they say, one of the measures of the husband’s love for his wife is the quality of service he gives her. We might’ve just taken a sneak peek into their life as husband and wife. Dennis and Cherrie, you are blessed to have each other.

Spectacular was one of the words we heard during the wedding. And we just couldn’t agree more. With so much heart and dedication that the wedding suppliers have poured into this event, it isn’t surprising that Dennis and Cherrie’s wedding turned so wonderfully; from start to finish, and from the biggest to the tiniest details. Congratulations to my fellow wedding suppliers, we did great!

To Dennis and Cherrie; you are proof that, when love is in the equation, materials things become immaterial. We are truly honored to have witnessed the start of your new journey, and captured your wonderful memories that – we’re sure – will last a lifetime. Stay humble, stay in love, and may you both continue to celebrate your love for each other all the days of your life as husband and wife. Best wishes! — The Digital Eye

Same Day Edit: Richard & Sam 10.26.2013

There are over seven billion people walking on this earth, each one trying to find the perfect one. But what are the odds of two souls, separated by distance and time, to actually find each other? Mission impossible, right? Or is it?

Some people spend a lifetime trying to find the perfect one, at the perfect time, in a perfect place. But what we oftentimes overlook is the fact that there’s really no perfect someone in a world inhabited by billions – there’s only the right one. Call it serendipity. Call it chance. Call it destiny. But for Richard and Sam, they knew they have found the right one when he got off the place from Norway two years ago.

Richard and Sam culminated their borderless courtship in a beautiful wedding attended by family and friends who travelled from as far as the Scandinavian countries just to witness the union. From the ceremony to the reception, everything was perfect for the couple’s big day. It was emotional, fun, exciting, but most of all, it truly was a celebration of two souls coming as one.

Love knows no boundaries, love knows no bounds. It does not know any reason, nor distance, nor time. And no matter where you are in the world, when love finds you, it’s always – always – in the right place, at the right time. Richard and Sam is now oceans apart … no more.

Congratulations Richard and Sam! Your love story is truly inspiring, and we know that your best times are still ahead. Continue being in love, and we only have the best wishes for the both of you! Cheers! – The Digital Eye

Same Day Edit: Reynor & Joanna (Singapore)

Who doesn’t love Singapore? It’s the city that allows one to dream … and dream big! But as soon as we arrived in Singapore, lo and behold, we were greeted by a heavy downpour. So much for a warm welcome, we thought. It was raining that it almost dampened our spirits. But one thing that my team and I were really praying hard for was to have a glorious weather for Reynor and Joanna’s wedding day.

And as if on cue, God answered our prayers by clearing the skies and bringing out the sun on the day of the wedding, like how He brought Reynor and Joanna into each other’s arms. To say that it was magical is a grave understatement. The wedding was well-attended by family and friends from the Philippines, Singapore, and the United States, to witness the binding of two hearts.

And just like how the sun shone brightly on their wedding day, the love between Reynor and Joanna sparkled even more. It was – in the end – a perfect day to get married. To the new Mr. and Mrs. Castasus, best wishes to you. Stay in love, because the best is yet to come. Thank you, and we hope to see you again soon.

Childhood Lovestory ended with a Beginning

Childhood Sweethearts – that’s one love story that we are all very familiar of. Guy meets girl in school. Guy and girl became friends. Guy asked girl to be his girlfriend. Girl said yes. Guy and girl grew apart. The end. But for Queenie and Perry, the Childhood Sweetheart love story is one that they share for seven years. It didn’t end like any other love story … their Childhood love story ended … with a beginning.

Perry met Queenie in high school at St. Mary’s School. Their love for animals was what brought them together. Seven years after, Perry brought Queenie to an exotic pets expo. She was unaware that that’d be the day that would change her life forever – the day when Perry proposed … and she said yes.

When the Perry was asked what made him think Queenie was the one, he just shrugged and said, “It’s hard to explain, but I know and I feel that she IS the one.” Just like what happened seven years ago with these two clueless teenagers, this Childhood Sweetheart love story started with shrug … ended with a beginning … as husband and wife.

Triumph of Love Amidst the Flood

Typhoon Sendong, said to be the deadliest cyclone to ever hit Cagayan de Oro, ravaged the city in 2011. The entire community was shaken, properties were reduced to rumble, and dreams were shattered. Countless people were swept away by the infernal flood waters, while numerous lives were lost in the process. Two of the people whose lives were changed forever on that fateful day were Gary and Bevelyn.

Til Death Do Us Part – one of the most overly-used wedding vows which meaning has now sadly began to erode. But for these Sendong survivors, this very phrase was what kept them alive up to this very day.
